Financial Crisis Hits ULFA(I) Camps in Myanmar

Police sources said several ULFA(I) cadres based in Myanmar are willing to surrender and return to Assam due to worsening conditions inside the outfit’s camps.
Sources claimed the camps are facing a severe fund shortage, making life difficult for members. To prevent cadres from escaping, ULFA(I) leaders have reportedly deployed “cut-off” teams along transit routes in Naga areas of Myanmar.
Despite strict monitoring, at least eight ULFA(I) cadres have surrendered in recent months, according to reports.
