Gaurav Gogoi Urges Assam Govt to Focus on Public Welfare and Women’s Safety

APCC president Gaurav Gogoi on Monday urged the BJP-led Assam government to prioritize public welfare and ensure women’s safety in the state. Ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Gogoi said the government must fulfil people’s expectations and stressed that Assam Police should focus on security issues instead of acting as “agents of the BJP.”
