Missing 6-Year-Old Boy Found Dead in Water-Filled Pit in Dhubri

A six-year-old boy, identified as Hasidul Rahman of Tamarhat in Dhubri district, was found dead on Sunday after going missing a day earlier. The Class I student allegedly drowned in a deep water-filled pit near his house while bathing.

The body was recovered after a joint search operation by locals, police, and SDRF personnel. Residents alleged the pit was dug illegally without safety measures and demanded strict action against those responsible. Police have sent the body for post-mortem examination.
