Nearly 100 Fall Ill in Suspected Food Poisoning Incident in Assam’s Tamulpur

Nearly 100 people from Dighalipar village under Tamulpur reportedly fell ill in a suspected mass food poisoning incident after consuming food served during a religious ceremony.
Many residents developed stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhoea and weakness. Around 65 people, including children, were admitted to Uttar Betana State Dispensary for treatment.
Health teams rushed to the area and provided medical assistance. Officials said most patients are recovering and the situation is currently under control.
