Man Arrested for Rape and Attempted Murder of Minor in Assam

A man named Ajijul Sheikh has been arrested in Assam’s Dhubri district for the brutal rape and attempted murder of a minor girl in the Ujanpetla area, Tamarhat.

Following the assault, the severely injured victim managed to escape and inform her family, who promptly filed a police complaint. The police acted swiftly and arrested Sheikh on Wednesday.

The minor is currently undergoing emergency medical treatment at a local hospital for her injuries, while further police investigations are underway.
