Two Suspected Rhino Poachers Arrested in Kaziranga

Kaziranga, June 12: Two suspected poachers were arrested and two handmade rifles were seized during a joint operation by forest officials and police in the Agaratoli Range of Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve.
The accused, identified as Jintu Orang of Golaghat and Sarbang Ranghang of Karbi Anglong, were intercepted based on specific intelligence inputs before they could allegedly enter the protected area. Officials also seized a motorcycle used by the duo.
Authorities are questioning the suspects and investigating possible links to organised poaching networks operating in and around Kaziranga.
