Traffic Restrictions Announced in Guwahati for Ambubachi Mahayog 2026

Guwahati: The city police have issued a comprehensive traffic management plan for Ambubachi Mahayog 2026, to be observed from June 22 to June 26, with restrictions on vehicle movement around the Kamakhya Temple area.

Private vehicles will not be allowed from the foothill to the temple, while designated parking zones and special routes have been arranged for pilgrims. Restrictions have also been imposed on heavy and commercial vehicles on several key city roads to ensure smooth movement during the festival.
