Flood Situation Improves in Assam, Over 25,000 Still Affected

Guwahati, Assam: The flood situation in Assam improved on Thursday, with the number of affected people dropping to over 25,000 in Dhemaji and Dibrugarh districts, according to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA).

Dhemaji remains the worst-hit district with over 21,000 affected residents. Relief operations are continuing, with four relief camps in operation. Floodwaters have also damaged crops, roads, embankments and other infrastructure, while over 55,000 domestic animals and poultry have been impacted across the state.
