Assam Cabinet Approves Land for AMUL Dairy Project in Biswanath

Guwahati: The Assam Cabinet has approved the lease of 33 bighas of land to Kaira District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union Ltd. (AMUL) in Biswanath for setting up a bulk milk cooler and chilling centre.

The project aims to strengthen Assam’s dairy sector by improving milk collection, storage and processing, while creating employment opportunities and supporting dairy farmers. It will be the state’s second major dairy processing project after the Rani plant in Guwahati.
