33 JE and AES Cases Reported in Sivasagar

Sivasagar: A total of 33 cases of Japanese Encephalitis (JE) and Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES)-like illnesses have been reported in Sivasagar district, according to the Health Department.

The cases were detected across several health blocks, including Khelua, Geleki, Demow, Gaurisagar, Kalugaon and Morabazar. Officials confirmed that no deaths have been reported so far. The district administration has intensified fogging, mosquito control measures and public awareness campaigns to prevent further spread of the disease.
