Assam Vows Strict Action After Firing on Forest Personnel in Behali Reserve Forest

Biswanath, Assam: Assam Forest Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah on Thursday said the government will take strict action against those responsible for the alleged firing on forest personnel in Behali Reserve Forest. He asserted that forest land would be protected regardless of the Assam-Arunachal border dispute and warned that destruction of forests would not be tolerated. The minister visited the affected area after chairing a high-level review meeting, while officials confirmed that no injuries were reported in Wednesday’s firing incident.
