Debabrata Saikia Seeks Special Flood Relief Package for Nazira

Nazira | July 22: Senior Assam Congress leader Debabrata Saikia has urged Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma to announce a special relief package for the flood-hit Nazira Co-District. In a letter, Saikia said floods have affected around 160 villages and over 60,000 people, causing extensive damage to roads, bridges, schools and agricultural land. He also sought immediate restoration of connectivity, financial support for farmers, and reconstruction of damaged infrastructure under PWD and PMGSY.
