Sonam Wangchuk Ends 26-Day Hunger Strike

New Delhi: Activist Sonam Wangchuk ended his 26-day hunger strike on Thursday after the Central government assured that concerns over the alleged NEET paper leak and examination accountability would be raised in Parliament.

He said the government also promised compensation for families of students who allegedly died by suicide over the controversy and assured that no action would be taken against peaceful protesters. Wangchuk ended his fast in the presence of Union ministers and appealed for peace while announcing that he would soon share details of the discussions.
