NFR Installs Emergency Lighting Near Railway Tracks in Flood-Hit Sivasagar

Sivasagar: Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has taken additional safety measures for flood-affected families sheltering near railway tracks in parts of Sivasagar, arranging emergency lighting at several locations.
The lighting facilities have been installed in the Simaluguri and Sivasagar Town areas, where families displaced by the ongoing floods have reportedly taken shelter close to the railway tracks.
According to NFR, the initiative is aimed at improving visibility and safety for residents, particularly children, while also supporting the safe movement of trains through the affected areas.
The railway said the measure reflects its efforts to assist flood-affected communities while maintaining operational safety along the railway network.
The emergency arrangements are expected to provide some relief to families staying near the tracks, especially during nighttime, when poor visibility can increase safety risks.
