Motorcycle Theft Case Cracked Within 24 Hours in Guwahati, Two Bikes Recovered

Guwahati, Assam: The East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) team from Basistha Police Station has solved a motorcycle theft case within 24 hours, arresting a 20-year-old man and recovering two allegedly stolen bikes.
The accused, identified as Mithun Kumar alias Kalu of Dhupdhara, was arrested in connection with the theft of a Hero Honda CD Deluxe bearing registration number AS01AW3478 from Bhetapara’s Gopal Path. Police said the motorcycle had been stolen after its lock was broken.
Based on information reportedly provided by the accused, police also recovered another motorcycle, a Pulsar NS (AS14R5810), which had allegedly been stolen from Pithaguri Pahar in the Lokhra area.
Both motorcycles were recovered and seized by police. Legal proceedings have been initiated, while further investigation is underway.
