Pijush Hazarika Criticises Congress Over Jharkhand Student Protest

Guwahati: Assam Minister Pijush Hazarika on Tuesday criticised the Congress-JMM government in Jharkhand over alleged police action against students protesting irregularities in state public service examinations in Ranchi.

Hazarika alleged that police used tear gas, water cannons and lathi-charge against the protesters, and questioned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s silence on the incident.

He also accused Gandhi of disrupting Parliament and changing his demands on various issues. Hazarika urged Gandhi to allow parliamentary proceedings and raise the matters for debate in the House.
