Heavy Rain Disrupts Jamira-Bairabi Rail Services, Several Trains Cancelled

Silchar: Heavy rainfall has triggered soil erosion along the Jamira-Bairabi railway section, affecting around 70 metres of track and prompting the Northeast Frontier Railway to begin restoration work. Due to the damage, several trains scheduled for September 4 and 5 have been cancelled.

NFR has also changed the originating point of Sairang–Guwahati Express (15610) and Sairang–Anand Vihar Terminal Express (20507), with both trains to start from Hailakandi. Their services between Sairang and Hailakandi will remain cancelled until restoration work is completed and the affected track is declared safe for operations.
