Five Arrested Over Dhaba Vandalism Near Zubeen Kshetra

Sonapur: Sonapur Police arrested five men in connection with alleged vandalism at New City Dhaba near Zubeen Kshetra on the night of September 19, when Assam observed Zubeen Divas. The arrested persons were identified as Narottam Pegu, Ranoj Doley, Arun Doley, Jitu Doley and Nilkantha Pegu.

According to police, more than 100 people gathered at the dhaba after its liquor outlet was reportedly closed around 9 pm. The situation allegedly escalated when some youths demanded that it be reopened, leading to vandalism and a disturbance. Police later reached the spot and dispersed the crowd. The five arrested men are being questioned as the investigation continues.
