Assam Police Receives 50 Motorcycles to Strengthen Traffic Management

Dispur: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma formally handed over 50 Hero Mavrick 440 motorcycles to Assam Police under Hero MotoCorp’s ‘Ride Safe India’ CSR initiative. The motorcycles will support traffic management, patrolling, law enforcement and faster emergency response.

Sarma also rode a motorcycle while wearing a helmet inside the Janata Bhawan complex to promote road safety. The specially equipped motorcycles feature Assam Police branding and are expected to improve police mobility and response during accidents, traffic congestion and other emergencies.
