Nagaland Police Announce Recruitment for 1,137 Constable Posts

Kohima: Nagaland Police has invited applications from eligible male and female candidates belonging to indigenous Naga tribes of the state for 1,137 Constable (General Duty) posts through an open rally. The vacancies include 1,053 posts under court directives and 84 backlog vacancies from the previous recruitment drive. The recruitment will be conducted across district headquarters by authorised screening committees.

The posts carry a Level-3 pay scale with a grade pay of ₹1,800. The online application process will begin on October 31, 2026, and close on November 30, 2026. The notification states that applicants from non-indigenous tribes are not eligible, while backlog vacancies are restricted to specified tribes and districts.
