13 Bangladeshi Nationals, One Indian Citizen Detained Near Mankachar Border

MANKACHAR: Police detained 14 people, including 13 Bangladeshi nationals and an Indian citizen, from the Kuchnimara area of South Salmara-Mankachar district on Monday night. The group, comprising six men, five women and two minors from Bangladesh, was allegedly attempting to cross into Bangladesh when police intercepted them near the international border.

The Bangladeshi nationals reportedly worked as labourers in different parts of India and were returning home. The Indian citizen has been identified as Moksedur Rahman. All 14 remain in police custody as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding their movement towards the border.
