Nagaland Urges Accurate Census 2027, Stresses Complete Population Coverage

Kohima: The Directorate of Census Operations, Nagaland, has emphasised the importance of accurate data collection for Census 2027, urging officials to ensure that no household or individual is left uncounted.

During a media interaction in Kohima, Director Dr Kenei Miachieo informed that Phase I, covering houselisting and housing census, has been completed in the state, while preparations for Phase II, population enumeration, are underway. Officials stressed that accurate census data is essential for effective development planning, resource allocation and fair representation of communities.
