AASU Urges Gaurav Gogoi to Clarify SIT-Based Allegations

The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) has asked APCC president and MP Gaurav Gogoi to clarify allegations made against him by the Chief Minister based on an SIT report. AASU general secretary Samiron Phukon said the issue concerns national security and, as a public representative, Gogoi must explain his position to the people of Assam.

He added that since the report will be sent to the Centre, the Union government should verify the facts, stressing that the matter should not be viewed as election-related.
