Akhil Gogoi Warns of Protest Over Flood Relief Delay

Sivasagar MLA Akhil Gogoi has intensified his criticism of the Assam government, alleging delays and discrepancies in providing the promised ₹15,000 one-time relief to flood-affected families. He claimed that many victims who lost homes and belongings are still awaiting assistance.
Warning of an intensified protest, Gogoi said he would stage a “Tandav Nritya” on Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s table if all eligible families do not receive the full relief amount. He also questioned the administration’s assessment of flood damage and said he was prepared to escalate the agitation if the promises remain unfulfilled.
