All Assam Tribal Sangha Urges Government Action Against Illegal Constructions in Tribal Belts
The All Assam Tribal Sangha (AATS) has formally requested the state government to dismantle all constructions belonging to ‘non-protected classes’ of people within the notified areas of tribal belts and blocks. The appeal was made during the conclusion of the three-day 39th triennial conference of AATS held at Katiyari HS School in the Sivasagar district.
During the conference, there was a significant emphasis on the issue of illegal construction by non-protected classes within tribal belts and blocks. The AATS addressed this concern with utmost importance, leading to the adoption of a resolution calling for the removal of all unauthorized constructions in the designated tribal areas.
