Assam Actor Duo Engage Voters in SVEEP Programme for Lok Sabha Elections

Renowned Assam actors Siddharatha Sharma and Deepjyoti Keot, designated as State Election Icons for the upcoming General Election to Lok Sabha 2024, participated in a Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme in Tezpur. Organized by the SVEEP team of Sonitpur Election District, the event saw the participation of around 600 individuals. A highlight of the programme was a quiz on election and voting rights, accompanied by Bihu songs performed by the icons. Additionally, a patriotic dance by dancers from Jyoti Kala Kendra Sangeet Mahavidyalay of Tezpur added to the event’s vibrancy. Notable attendees included Election Officer Eva Das, District Cultural Development Officer Saurav Pani Phukan, and District Information and Public Relations Officer Ankita Gogoi, among others.
