Assam Boosts Bamboo Industry with ₹439-Crore Investment

At the Advantage Assam 2.0 summit, three bamboo-based enterprises signed MoUs with the state government to set up manufacturing units in Dima Hasao.

Rashmi 6 Paradigm Limited will invest ₹300 crore in 10 bioenergy plants for bamboo-based biochar, creating 1,500 jobs.
Bird-Carts Online Services LLP will invest ₹39 crore in bamboo fibre textiles, generating 2,260 jobs.
Greentech Environ Management Pvt Ltd will invest ₹100 crore for biochar and activated carbon production, creating 600 jobs.
The initiative aims to boost employment, promote sustainable industries, and enhance Assam’s bamboo sector.
