Assam Chief Electoral Officer Assesses Preparedness in Karimganj for Lok Sabha Elections

Anurag Goel, the Chief Electoral Officer of Assam, conducted a visit to the border district of Karimganj to inspect the arrangements for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. An urgent meeting was convened at the DC conference hall, attended by high officials including District Commissioner Mridul Yadav, Superintendent of Police Partha Pratim Baruah, and others. The Election Commission’s top officials reviewed security measures at booth centers, counting, and strong rooms, along with newly established booth centers due to delimitation. Anurag Goel expressed satisfaction with the preparedness of the Karimganj administration, highlighted the potential impact of recent delimitation on voters, and emphasized the necessity for awareness programs, especially for new voters in the district.
