Assam CM Announces Special Casual Leave for State Employees to Spend with Parents

During a Facebook Live session on Friday, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that Assam State Government employees will receive their yearly ‘Matri Pitri Vandana’ special casual leave on November 7 and 8. Sarma emphasized that this annual leave is intended to give employees more time to spend with their parents.

Additionally, Sarma urged private sector employers to consider granting similar leave to their employees, encouraging broader adoption of this family-oriented initiative.
