Assam Congress Urges Rahul Gandhi to Address Flood Issues in Upcoming Parliament Session

During the visit of Lok Sabha’s Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi to Assam, the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), led by President Bhupen Borah, took significant steps to address the state’s flood problems. The APCC submitted a memorandum to Gandhi, requesting him to raise the flood issue in the upcoming parliament session. Borah emphasized the severe struggles faced by the people due to floods. On the microblogging site X, Borah expressed gratitude towards Gandhi, stating, “Greatly inspired and encouraged by my leader Shri @RahulGandhi ji, who has always stood by us. We are grateful to him, as he has assured us to take up our issues at all appropriate forums regarding flood relief and adequate compensation.”
