Assam Government Partners with Google to Build AI Capabilities

The Assam government signed an agreement with Google to develop artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and make the state a key AI hub in the Northeast.

Science & Technology Minister Keshab Mahanta said Google Cloud will assist in enhancing departmental efficiency, officer performance, and public service delivery through AI integration.

As part of the collaboration, an Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence will be set up to strengthen governance, improve transparency, and accelerate digital transformation across state departments.
