Assam Govt to Table Key Reform Bills in Upcoming Assembly Session

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Wednesday that the Assam Government will introduce several major bills in the next Assembly session, focusing on love jihad, polygamy, Satra conservation, and land rights for tea garden workers.

During his visit to Nagaon, Sarma inaugurated multiple projects, including an Olympic-standard swimming pool worth ₹7.12 crore, a new health office, a market complex, and the Gaurav Path road. He also distributed financial aid of ₹10,000 each to 26,585 women under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan.

Sarma further informed that Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to visit Assam by December-end to inaugurate the Batadrava Satra Conservation Project.
