Assam Panchayat Polls Phase 2 Sees 42.31% Turnout by 1:30 PM

By 1:30 PM Wednesday, 13 Assam districts recorded a 42.31% voter turnout in the second phase of Panchayat elections. Morigaon led with 49.53%, followed by Bongaigaon and Goalpara. Dhubri saw the lowest at 35.57%. Polling across 12,130 booths began at 7:30 AM. The Election Commission reported peaceful voting with no major incidents.
