Assam Proposes Japanese Industrial Township Near TATA Semiconductor Facility
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma proposed a Japanese industrial township near TATA Electronics’ ₹27,000-crore semiconductor facility in Jagiroad. Speaking at the Advantage Assam 2.0 roadshow in Tokyo, Sarma highlighted Assam’s 12.4% growth rate and its potential as a gateway to Southeast Asia.
