Assam Sees Rise in Tax Collection, Says Finance Minister Ajanta Neog

Finance Minister Ajanta Neog announced a rise in Assam’s tax collection over the past four years. Speaking at the inauguration of the new Jorhat Treasury Office building, she highlighted transparency efforts in tax processes and financial rule reforms. Neog said the state now pays government salaries from its own funds. The new building aims to improve services for employees and pensioners.
