Assam STF Seizes Rs 5 Lakh Fake Currency Haul in Guwahati

A Special Task Force (STF) team of Assam Police apprehended two individuals in Guwahati with over Rs 5 lakhs worth of fake currency notes. Acting on a tip-off, an operation led by Inspector Kapil Pathak intercepted a vehicle in Guwahati’s Gota Nagar locality near Radisson Blu Hotel. The officials seized Rs 5,55,000 worth of fake currency notes along with a bundle of white paper cut to the size of Rs 500 notes, intended to deceive people. Two individuals were arrested in connection with the bust and are undergoing further legal proceedings.
