Assam Targets ₹1.5 Lakh Crore Investments at Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Thursday that Assam aims to secure ₹1.5 lakh crore in investments and infrastructure projects at the Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit on February 25-26. The event is expected to bring in over ₹1 lakh crore in investments and infrastructure projects worth ₹50,000 crore, with significant central support.
The state government has received 1,500 MoU requests in sectors like sustainable aviation fuel, power, healthcare, and education. The cabinet will scrutinize all proposals on February 23 to ensure authenticity before signing any MoUs. Announcements from industry leaders like Mukesh Ambani and Sajjan Jindal are still awaited.
