Assam to Launch ₹1.78 Lakh Crore Investment Projects by December 2025

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that investment projects worth about ₹1.78 lakh crore from the Advantage Assam 2.0 summit will roll out by December 2025. At a ceremony in Guwahati, he laid foundation stones for Medanta Super Speciality Hospital, Cocoon Mother and Childcare Hospital, and a Lemon Tree hotel—projects worth around ₹800 crore. Sarma also revealed upcoming ventures including a ₹40,000-crore thermal power project and palm-based industries worth ₹30,000 crore. The initiatives aim to boost employment, healthcare, hospitality, and attract medical tourism, positioning Assam as a major investment destination.
