Assam Women’s University Launches Mental Health Awareness Week

Ahead of World Mental Health Day, the Department of Psychology at Assam Women’s University (AWU) inaugurated a daylong event to kick off the World Mental Health Awareness Week. With the theme “It is time to Prioritize Mental Health in the Workplace,” the program included speeches by faculty and a street play performed by students to promote mental health awareness. AWU Vice Chancellor Prof. Ajanta Borgohain Rajkonwar emphasized the role of leadership in fostering a healthy work environment, while other speakers highlighted the need for self-reflection and inclusivity. Mood boards were also set up around campus to engage students with the theme.
