Assam’s 16-Year-Old Lisha Das Selected for 2026 Commonwealth Games

Biswanath: Sixteen-year-old para cyclist Lisha Das from Assam has been selected to represent India in the Para Track Cycling event at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, becoming the youngest athlete in the Indian contingent.

A Class XI student of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Biswanath, Lisha has won several national and international medals despite competing with one arm. She will join Assam’s other Commonwealth Games representatives, including boxer Lovlina Borgohain and lawn bowls players Nayan Moni Saikia and Putul Sonowal.
