At Guwahati railway station, recovered one pistol and arrested one

On Friday, the Government Railway Police (GRP) and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) found a bag that contained one pistol, identified as the “USA 710.”

Sources claim that after an RPF and GRP search at Guwahati Railway Station’s platform number one, a bag containing a pistol bearing the marking “USA 710” was found. Regarding this, the team also apprehended Manoj Baishya (50), a resident of Sualkuchi village in the Kamrup district, as an accused. After questioning the accused, the team was unable to get a satisfactory response regarding the pistol’s possession. Regarding this, the GRP filed a case (276/23), in accordance with the Arms Act’s Section 25(1) (A).
