Bhupen Borah Reviews Congress Prep, Slams Govt on Evictions and Corruption

APCC leader Bhupen Borah held a review meeting in Biswanath Chariali on Friday ahead of Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge’s visit to Assam on July 16. He confirmed Congress workers from Biswanath will attend the Chayagaon programme. Borah slammed the BJP-led Assam government over “inhumane” eviction drives, accused it of ignoring SC guidelines, and criticized the BJP for double standards on corruption. He also condemned a controversial remark against the Assamese language, calling it an attack on identity and culture.
