Bhupen Hazarika Book to Be Translated into 23 Languages for Centenary Celebrations

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that a book on Dr. Bhupen Hazarika’s life by Anuradha Sharma Pujari will be translated into 23 Indian languages and distributed to 4 lakh institutions. One lakh copies will also reach 10 lakh families after review. PM Modi will inaugurate the centenary celebrations starting September 8 in Guwahati. A commemorative coin has been proposed. Year-long events will be held across India, with a 50-member committee overseeing the plans.
