Bhutan PM Tshering Tobgay Arrives in Assam on Official Visit

Bhutan Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay arrived in Guwahati on Monday on an official visit to Assam. He was welcomed at the State Guest House in Koinadhora by Assam Cabinet Minister Atul Bora, DGP Harmeet Singh, and other senior officials.
Tobgay is scheduled to meet Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya during his visit. Minister Atul Bora said the visit would further strengthen the historic relationship between Assam and Bhutan and open new avenues for cooperation, cultural exchange, and regional development.
Assam and Bhutan share close ties through trade, tourism, and people-to-people connections, especially in border areas adjoining the Himalayan kingdom.
