Biker died after mixer truck hits motorcycle near Khanamukh at NH 17

On Tuesday, along NH 17, a mixer truck struck a motorcycle close to Khanamukh, killing a 52-year-old man.

Sources claim that the mixer truck and the motorbike were travelling from Jalukbari to Azara when the accident happened. The motorcyclist with registration AS-14K-8948 was struck by the mixer truck with registration OD-05-BC-3466, causing the rider to tumble close to Khanamukh. The rider, a 52-year-old Nalbari resident named Suren Barman, suffered severe injuries. When he was carried to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), the physicians declared him dead.

Abul Hussain, a resident of the Cachar area, was detained as the mixer truck driver. Both cars were sent to the branch of Jalukbari Outpost (Tr).
