BJP Leaders Arrive in Manipur Ahead of PM Modi’s Visit

Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s September 13 visit, senior BJP leaders Ajit Gopchade and Sambit Patra reached Imphal to oversee preparations. Patra said the visit would be a “turning point” for the state. While BJP leaders hold hectic meetings, sections of the Kuki-Zo community urged Modi to meet displaced families instead of attending cultural performances. They stressed the need for justice and political solutions. In the Meitei-majority valley, groups also hope to highlight grievances and demand safer routes. The visit comes at a crucial time for Manipur’s governance and stability.
