BJP Minority Morcha President Arrested in Hailakandi Chit Fund Scam

Hailakandi Police arrested the district BJP Minority Morcha President on Monday for his alleged role in a Rs 10 crore chit fund scam. The leader is accused of misleading investors by promising a Rs 25,000 loan for a Rs 2,000 investment. Eight people, including the BJP leader and four women, have been detained so far. The arrests followed numerous complaints from investors who had filed an FIR against Singhania Fintech Agribusiness Consortium Company Limited. The police sealed the company’s office and are investigating the documents seized during the raid.
