The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is gearing up to unveil its first list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections in 2024, encompassing over 100 names. This decision follows a crucial central election committee (CEC) meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence in Delhi. The meeting, which commenced on Thursday night and concluded in the early hours of Friday, saw the participation of key figures including PM Modi, BJP National President JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and other prominent leaders. Reports suggest that the saffron party aims to announce approximately 100 candidates in its initial list, aligning with the BJP-led NDA’s ambitious target of securing 400 seats in the upcoming general elections.
