Brave Women Help Capture Leopard in Jorhat Village

Two women, Rekha and Makon Bora, from Khongia village in Jorhat, led efforts to capture a leopard that had been killing livestock and alarming locals. After urging the Forest Department to provide a trap, they set a baited cage with villagers’ help. The leopard was caught after four days. The women now request further action as more leopards may be nearby.
