Car Thief Shot While Trying to Escape in Guwahati

Guwahati police shot car thief Divyajyoti Saikia in the leg after he attacked officers while attempting to escape during an operation in Jorabat. The Basistha police were escorting him when he tried to flee. Injured officers and the suspect were taken to Gauhati Medical College Hospital. The operation was part of ongoing efforts to curb car theft in the region.
